This volume was as super cute as the previous two, but the relationship is the SLOWEST OF SLOW BURNS I've ever read anywhere! Finally, Sasaki confessed his feelings to Miyano, and while there was some minor angst and misunderstanding, neither let it stand for long。Honestly, the misunderstanding trope that puts a wedge between a couple is one of my least favourite tropes, but it was done perfectly here。 Hirano stepped in, warned Sasaki he was being an idiot, and helped them clear the air quickly。 This volume was as super cute as the previous two, but the relationship is the SLOWEST OF SLOW BURNS I've ever read anywhere! Finally, Sasaki confessed his feelings to Miyano, and while there was some minor angst and misunderstanding, neither let it stand for long。Honestly, the misunderstanding trope that puts a wedge between a couple is one of my least favourite tropes, but it was done perfectly here。 Hirano stepped in, warned Sasaki he was being an idiot, and helped them clear the air quickly。I LOVED how Miyano had the whole internal struggle of how he felt about Sasaki, what it meant, and what he intended to do about it。Nothing is really resolved at the end of this volume, but both characters are having realistic reactions, struggles, and really taking their time to do this right。 Being honest, open, and sharing their feelings which is so rare in some BL I've read。At the end, the author admits they're going to keep this series going for a while, but I hope they don't try to force it to drag out。 The way they've written it so far, it feels like we're only one, maybe two, volumes from Sasaki and Miyano being a couple or at least admitting their feelings are mutual。 I'll definitely be reading Volume 4, and the others, but if it starts lingering and delaying any sign of a resolution, I may give up。 I don't mind a slow burn, or when characters naturally keep their distance, but if it feels forced I'll probably stop reading。 Fingers crossed the author plans it right。 。。。more

This series is so, so cute, and seems to be improving as it goes on。 I'm glad I've already preordered Volume 4, and I'm excited to watch the anime adaptation。 The volumes continue to be very slim, with the absolute slowest of burns, but the pacing and chapter construction has gotten a little better。 While there are still some pages that feel like one-off joke comics (which are fun, too, and part of the unique feel of this series), there's more of a clear narrative arc within this volume。Sasaki d This series is so, so cute, and seems to be improving as it goes on。 I'm glad I've already preordered Volume 4, and I'm excited to watch the anime adaptation。 The volumes continue to be very slim, with the absolute slowest of burns, but the pacing and chapter construction has gotten a little better。 While there are still some pages that feel like one-off joke comics (which are fun, too, and part of the unique feel of this series), there's more of a clear narrative arc within this volume。Sasaki does end up being the one to confess, after all - if he hadn't, they probably would've never gotten anywhere。 What I love is how simple and natural this exchange is - and how Sasaki puts absolutely zero pressure on Miyano to answer him in the positive, or immediately。 All he asks is that Miyano take him seriously, and really consider it。 Miyano promises to, and for the rest of the volume, they go about their regular lives and Miyano slowly tries to puzzle out what his answer will be。I'm not sure how I feel about the "I'm not gay, I'm only attracted to one guy and it's you" BL trope - that's more of a fictional concept than people's actual lived experience。 But at the same time, these two are still in high school, not having figured everything out about themselves just yet。 There was a lot I didn't know about myself when I was a teenager, and things I'm still figuring out now - so it's understandable that they haven't been able to slap labels on themselves, or to fully understand what it is that they're feeling。Sasaki, I think, mostly just doesn't care; what matters to him is that he really, really likes being around Miyano, and that the more time they spend together, the less he wants that to ever end。 I love that he's clearly in it for the long haul, and the bits from his point of view continue to be my absolute favorite。 I love his longing and his restraint。 There's something about it that appeals to the Austen nerd in me - Sasaki watching Miyano as he sleeps in the classroom, reaching out to touch just the edge of his sleeve, but knowing that he can't, and won't, do anything else, not until Miyano gives him an answer。 It's achingly beautiful, and I don't mind that it's taking an awful long time to get to the kissing, because honestly, this type of build up is the best part。Poor Miyano, meanwhile, has no idea what he's thinking。 He likes Sasaki - of course he does。 But is he attracted to him, or does he just look up to (literally, Sasaki's tall) and admire him? He reads BL and shamelessly ships his other senpai with his roommate - something that gets an extra chapter in this volume - but that doesn't mean he wants to be in settings like those himself。 Just because he likes gay stuff doesn't mean he's gay。。。right? There's actually a fair amount of realism to that, and I'm not super worried that there will be another 10 volumes before Miyano decides that actually, he's definitely straight。 I mean, I hope not。。。this sure doesn't seem like that kind of story。 Another interesting bit is Miyano's insecurity about his "cute," almost girly face。 He's a guy and wants very much to be thought of and looked at and treated like a guy, so when he asks Sasaki "what do you like about me" and Sasaki clumsily responds, "I like your face," it's understandable that Miyano isn't terribly pleased。 Especially being at an all-boys' school, it'd be too easy to think of himself as a temporary stand-in - something that comes up in one of my other favorite manga, Doukyusei - Classmates 1。 Is it just a phase, or is this something they're serious about?Sasaki is serious and makes an effort to clear up some of the misunderstanding, by explaining (without going into detail) that he likes a LOT more about Miyano。 (The detail he goes into in his own head is exceptionally sweet。。。I love this character a lot。 He deserves the world, and Miyano。) It's still not enough for Miyano to make up his mind, but the closing chapter was really lovely, and something I haven't seen framed in quite this way before。 While Miyano isn't ready to give an answer, he reopens the conversation, and is surprised by how overwhelmingly happy Sasaki is just at that。 It doesn't matter - yet - what Miyano's going to say。 He's taking Sasaki's confession seriously and is genuinely thinking about it, and for now, that's enough。 And until Miyano gives an answer, they can continue to be friends, share manga, and hang out together。 I think that's why I like this relationship so much - they're so clearly becoming wonderful friends。 I love how much they love talking to each other, and how good their communication is。 Friendship doesn't always lead to love, but I've always thought that you need that foundation for a romantic relationship to last。 And I really see a great future ahead of these two。Oh, and as a final, almost forgotten note: I'm finding Kuresawa's frank obsession with his girlfriend really cute, too。 I like how unashamed these characters are about being in love。 If you care about someone, of course you want to talk (brag) about them all the time! Hopefully Sasaki and Miyano can get to the point where they're able to annoy their friends about their relationship, too。 That'll be fun to see。 。。。more

Such a sweet and realistic slice of life。 I love how it doesn’t try to follow the usual BL troupes but rather taking the route of a sweet high school romance。 We have two very considerate leads who are not boxed within the cliche troupes but as Miyano says, even being called cliche can be considered an honor as you’ve actually reached a certain standard。 The volumes are relatively shorter compared to other manga, yet they are heart warming。 You feel your heart skip a beat at the same time makes Such a sweet and realistic slice of life。 I love how it doesn’t try to follow the usual BL troupes but rather taking the route of a sweet high school romance。 We have two very considerate leads who are not boxed within the cliche troupes but as Miyano says, even being called cliche can be considered an honor as you’ve actually reached a certain standard。 The volumes are relatively shorter compared to other manga, yet they are heart warming。 You feel your heart skip a beat at the same time makes your heart really full after reading their interactions。 I’m going through the volumes at god speed。 。。。more

3。5* I needed this volume to move a weeeee further because the confession came so surprisingly early and the rest was mostly in Miyano's head。 Still adorbs and soul-healing though。 3。5* I needed this volume to move a weeeee further because the confession came so surprisingly early and the rest was mostly in Miyano's head。 Still adorbs and soul-healing though。 。。。more

I love how Miyano earnestly thought about Sasaki’s feelings 😍。 I don’t really mind if he takes his time considering his feelings but I want them to be together soon!

Another cute instalment in a very cute series。 I love that Miyano is so earnest about considering Sasaki's confession - gotta love the (somewhat) slow burn。 The side characters are interesting as ever, and I'm really keen to learn more about Kuresawa's girlfriend as we go on。 Another cute instalment in a very cute series。 I love that Miyano is so earnest about considering Sasaki's confession - gotta love the (somewhat) slow burn。 The side characters are interesting as ever, and I'm really keen to learn more about Kuresawa's girlfriend as we go on。 。。。more

I love that even though Miyano is trying to figure out his true feelings for Sasaki, their relationship doesn’t change for the worse and overall they’re both still kind and light-hearted towards each other。 Sasaki just wants to love his kohai freely and it’s adorable to read about。 Also, I really wish to see more of Hirano and his roommate: Kagiura。I first read this manga volume, through fan translated scans online。
